Pakistan and World Bank have agreed upon an electricity price hike for the fiscal year two thousand and nine.
As part of the plan, electricity prices are to be raised by 5-7% in the first phase and by 7-10% in the second phase.
The World Bank and Asian Development Bank have allowed a 55 billion rupee subsidy on electricity for the fiscal year two thousand and nine.
