KARACHI: Two police officials accused of raping and killing a minor have been sent to jail on judicial remand till July 24th by an anti-terrorism court, on Friday.
The police had sought remand of the accused, saying more time is needed for DNA and chemical examination.
The relatives of the victim staged a protest against the accused officials during the hearing of the case.
The case was shifted to an anti-terrorism court on the application of Sindh Chief Minister’s advisor Sharmilla Farooqi.
Earlier this month, two traffic police officers were accused of raping and killing a three-year-old girl in Karachi.
